Meet David Jackson
I'm an experienced psychotherapist, and over the years I’ve supported people through a wide range of life challenges. My aim is to work alongside you — to explore what’s going on, make sense of it, and move towards clarity and change.
Creating a space where you feel heard and accepted is at the heart of how I work. Together, we’ll look at your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and the context around them.
By deepening your understanding and making space for new perspectives, we can begin to create meaningful, lasting shifts in your life.
I’m a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). For more information you can find me on the BACP directory.

My Approach
I offer a warm, grounded and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s happening — at your pace, in your way.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. We'll reflect together on your inner world — your thoughts, feelings, behaviours — and begin to make sense of them in the context of your life and experiences.
My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of psychological models depending on what best supports you and I work with individuals on both a short-term and open-ended basis.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens in the first session?
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, what you’d like to work on, and I’ll share more about how I practise. You’re under no obligation to continue — if it doesn’t feel right, I’ll do my best to point you in a helpful direction. Everything we talk about is confidential.
How long are the sessions and what do they cost?
Sessions last 50 minutes. Fees start at £90 per session and can be paid by cash, card, bank transfer or Apple Pay. Discounted packages are also available for ongoing work.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes — everything you share is held in strict confidence. All messages, calls and emails are also treated with the same care and privacy.
What are your qualifications?
I trained at Roehampton University, a leading centre for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I continue to develop my practice through regular professional training and supervision. My work is fully insured and ethically overseen and I'm also about to complete a diploma in Compulsive Sexual Behaviour (CSB) at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are currently held online — either by video call or over the phone, depending on your preference.
How many sessions will I need?
This really depends on your goals and what you’re looking to work through. Some people come for a handful of sessions, others work with me for longer. We’ll regularly check in on how things are going and make adjustments if needed. You’re free to pause or end therapy at any point.
Are you a member of a professional body?
Yes, I’m an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and I follow their ethical framework and professional standards.
How do I get in touch?
If you’d like to find out more or arrange an initial session, feel free to reach out by phone, text or email. I aim to respond within 24 hours and can usually offer a first appointment within a week.
